💥 My energy crashed today
So, I'm keeping it short and am sharing two poems from my poetry alias instead..
😶🌫️ a fog of clouds
a fog of clouds hides the words I seek
a fog of clouds weighs down my head
too heavy to hold as I try to express
my muddled thoughts without half those words
a fog of clouds cushions me as I zone out
a fog of clouds between my brain and my body
keeping me rooted, sitting still, ignoring every
command while I imagine doing so much...
a fog of clouds takes too long to clear
a fog of clouds slowing time to a stand
still as the clock ticks on... an hour passes
and another one until something clicks,
connects, and the fog of clouds finally clears.

🕸️ cobwebs
clearing my head
is like a wind blowing
through the cracks
where there's a cobweb
holding on, stubbornly
to one lingering thought
no matter how hard
I blow or pull
or wish it away
that sliver holds fast
becomes such a loud
insistent scream
Not even tearing the
cobweb to shreds
will make you go away
