Hi !
Today we're excited to share a recording of teacher Shilpa Lakhani's recent lesson on Understanding Signals & Suit Preferences. This lesson was Shilpa's first here at Learn Bridge Online! We hope you'll join us in welcoming her. The suit-preference signals is such a powerful tool for us but too many of us learners still feel too unsure about it to use it with our partners. Shilpa breaks down how they work in a way that will make it very easy to understand, remember, and start using right away!
Defense is like solving a puzzle in real time which requires communication, logic and yes a bit of courage. This is often the most under-practiced part of bridge! 50% of the time we are defending and not declaring and most contracts are either made or defeated because of defense. The suit preference signal is one of the most important tools for partnerships to use together.
