Hi ,
Happy Friday - seems the world is no less crazy these days.
I hear of bumpy life happenings for so many and likely you too?
YES I've had the bumps too with 18 months of too much grief.
Thanks for opening this today as it been way too long.
Yes, it does take a while to process and then have enough to share and give back beyond the necessities.
No doubt you've your share of challenges... no-one is untouched by challenges - health, home, family, and financial to name a few.
Sending warm, compassionate wishes for ease and self love.
And I am back to carry on with inner peace musings, Somatic Stretch tips and NOW... as a Breath Work facilitator I'm also a big advocate of various breathing practises for physical and mental health.
When we are feeling the bumps of life it is hard to access a feeling of peace.
If we are feeling dependent on our external world to provide peace we may be disappointed, or waiting a long time.
It time to take this quest into our own hands and catch ourselves in stress and grouch mode and provide the support we need – as we can.
It is always an optimal time to stop and connect to our own inner being and that well of peace deep inside:)
With regular practise this feeling of inner peace can be more easily accessed.
Daily practises can build a foundation and neural pathways that prime our being to be able to access inner peace more easily.
So try out one or all of these this during this hectic season…
#1 count to 10 using fingers to count each breath
#2 same as above and breathe as if sucking through a straw (this gets breath into the belly – the signal of peace to your body rather than upper chest breathing which signals threat)
#3 bring awareness to your heart and close your eyes for a minute breathing slowly
#4 go outside and look up
#5 gaze at something beautiful noticing all the details
#6 go for a walk around the block
And maybe you can add your own ways of in the moment destress’. I’d love to hear about them – hit replay to share your fave way to settle and find inner peace.
To be peaceful in your world starts with your inner peace -
we can only control ourselves - so lets do this!
Make a commitment to be more peaceful and connect more often to your own inner peace - its a practise.
Somatic Stretch classes will be restarting in January 2026 as well as online live breath and meditation sessions. Will be back to you with the weekly opportunities soon.
Gratitude for your interest in inner peace -
May you remember that when the world is 'causing' unhappiness or stress you can use this as a sign to stop and breath and connect with your own inner peace.
May peace be with you, and may you find joy in these holy days.
Be kind:)
