A Wingspan Teaser

Warning: His teaser is a little steamy

Somehow the sexual tension increased but by slow degrees. Everything around them disappeared and Eldon focused all of his senses on Mercury.

His firm body pressed against Eldon. He was safe except for his heart. If Mercury delivered even a hint of rejection, Eldon would shatter. But he would endure it.

It wasn’t every day a person met their mate. Eldon counted himself lucky. He vowed to spend as much time as Mercury would let him. He didn’t want to argue his case anymore. A vampire might live a lot longer than other paranormals and certainly longer than a human, but it wasn’t forever. He would rather live with the pain than not have the memories.

Mercury’s heart beat a steady rhythm, pumping blood through his body. Blood Eldon could smell. It was sweet, like oatmeal cookies. A church lady had made the old-fashioned kind with the frosting on top for everyone at the group home. Miss Shelly had sat and read to the little kids three times a week. But she’d been ancient when Eldon had been a kindergartener. By the time he was in late elementary, she had passed on. The smell reminded him of her kindness. He couldn’t help but think maybe Mercury had a lot of love to give, just like Miss Shelly.

He moved his tongue over the tip of one fang and then the other. The urge to sink his teeth in was almost overwhelming. He was glad he wasn’t likely to get a taste because he knew he’d get addicted after the first drop. Eldon had always been good at steering clear of addictive substances up to that point. Maybe Mercury would break his resolve.

“This can go one of two ways. Both have consequences,” Mercury whispered, never taking his gaze off Eldon’s mouth.

“What are you talking about?”

“Making love. Bonding. Or not.” Mercury’s answer surprised Eldon. He knew he wore it on his face. He hadn’t ever been good at hiding his emotions.

“Okay. So what are the consequences either way?” Eldon’s heart rate increased with the prospect of bonding.

“Well, not making love right this second means we would eat sooner and I’m hungry. So there’s a positive. And the consequences are obvious.” Mercury pressed his hard length against Eldon.
