As an author who primarily writes MM, I knew that writing and promoting queer MF was going to be near impossible. What I wasn't expecting was for some of the absolute ugliness I've faced while trying to promote it.
Asexuals fight to be seen in the queer community, and it was disheartening to be told that my book would only be recognized if the queerness took place between same sex characters. It was extremely invalidating.
