Hello my sweet bunbarians! So much book news! Squee!

But first, Happy Father's day to all of who celebrate. Thank you to all the step dads, foster dads, adoptive dads, biological dads, single dads, and dads in heaven. And a special shout out to the mentors who are stepping up when others can't.

This month my uncle, a Vietnam veteran, was inured (not a misspelling, his ashes were in an urn) at Arlington Cemetery. He received full military honors as he was laid to rest. He was a kind and generous man who left a wonderful, loving legacy. My family has a long history in the military, and I hope I will do them justice when I write about the various branches.

On to the books! Did you see the image above? It's almost 'Stuff Your eReader' day. Clear your calendar for June 20th, because there are over 1000 fr33 books in all the genres. If you haven't read 'The Devil Goes to Washington' yet, here's your chance. Here's a sneak peek:

Evelyn Burgh's body reacted before she could process who had spoken. She dug her heels into the lush carpet, resisting the need to run across the room and jump into his arms. The heady scent of leather and sandalwood cologne with a touch of vanilla overpowered her senses, making her mouth water. She craved him as much as she had eight years ago.

"Hello, Mr. Harding," Evelyn greeted as she took a deep breath and smoothed her retro-50s-style white dress before daring to look up into the deep, expressive dark eyes she had always loved.

"Miss D'Ambroglio. I take it you are my intended." Michael T. Harding the Fourth stood at the other end of the long room in his well-tailored navy blue suit.

Author's Life

I just turned in my latest short story. Oh, it's a good one. If you've read my stories, you've probably figured out I love second chance romance. This one is a modern twist on Jane Austen's Persuasion. The entire anthology, 'Texting Ms. Austen', encompasses contemporary versions of Jane Austen stories. It's available for pre-order and I'll include a sneak peak next month. Too many to include this month already 😊.

Tomorrow, 'Save the Date' goes live with my story, 'Book the Date'. This is the last of the St. James family stories (maybe). And while Aunt Gladys is finally getting her big day, the story isn't about her. Want a sneak peek? Of course you do:

"Are we going to talk about it?" he demanded.

An array of possibilities ran through her mind, none of which she wanted to dig into, especially with him. "There's nothing to discuss but cake at the moment. Which piece should we start with?"

"You can't avoid me forever, especially since we are both working on this wedding." He picked up a plate from the center of the display and dropped it between them.

Were all men toddlers getting moody when they didn't get what they wanted, even if they didn't know what that was? She smirked at the thought...

So many more coming your way in the next couple of months, including my fairytale retelling of Rumplestiltskin, like you've never seen. There are a few surprises coming too, but I'm going to save those for next month. In the meantime, check out the great book fairs below for more fr33bies.
