From September...
To try to lighten the load and make the most of the BOS weekly newsletter, please could we try a system of automating the newsletter requests from September? The newsletter is being opened regularly by about 86% of recipients, which makes it a fairly good way reaching most BOS regular players, but with a central document, it hopefully will reduce the emails and messages required to get it together every week.
Each week on a Thursday, you'll receive a reminder to contribute to the Monday newsletter, which is now housed in a joint document on my Google Drive that you can access via the link below.
For Ian and Bjorn: this is the place to put any indications of repertoire you want to rehearse, rehearsal timings (especially for the brass) or other special notices/messages, for example, before/after a concert. Please note this email does not go to all "extras", it only goes to our regular BOS players/members.
For Caroline and Alex: this is a place to send reminders to Section Leaders/players. Please just add in info under the relevant orchestra.
For Committee members: any messages for all members can go here.
Please make any contributions by Friday at Noon. After that, I will assume that everything is present and correct!
On the link below, you can now add in any information that you would like to go out on the Mondays in September.
Please note: this will simply be copied and pasted into the newsletter, so please proofread it yourself!
Please make sure that you put items under the correct date!
