Dear All
The Committee are pleased to announce that, following very careful consideration of the feedback from the BSO orchestra, we decided to appoint Bjorn Bantock as MD/Conductor of BSO. We are delighted that he accepted the position this morning.
We are most grateful for to all the candidates who participated in the process with such investment and gave us an incredible opportunity as an orchestra to experience difference styles and approaches and learn a lot about ourselves.
We are also grateful to you, our players, who took time and care to give considered and thoughtful feedback, that was invaluable.
My personal thanks to all members of the Committee, both past and present, who have invested so much time and effort in the process over the last two years. So much of that is unseen and yet much appreciated by us all.
We can now look forward to next season for both BSO and Sinfonia, with Bjorn and Ian, Caroline and Alex, at our sides!
Have a great weekend!
With best wishes
Ann
