It's this week!
Book tickets here:
I popped into Sinfonia rehearsals last week and it was great to see how you're enjoying this interesting programme and from chatting to quite a few of you, I know you're putting in a lot of work to prepare.
Thank you to you all and Ian, of course.
This is one of our flagship concerts this season and a unique opportunity to bring something new to Bedford.
Being new, it needs personal invitations from those who are playing - people will come to see YOU.
We're very lucky however with the weather - grey, a bit miserable, not too cold... The Church is warm and cosy, we have tea/coffee and "nice" biscuits planned for the interval.
AND the parking is super easy (in the Gurdwara on Ford End Road).
Who wouldn't want to join us for a fabulous evening?
So, Sinfonia, please go out and bring your audience.
With 5 days to go, and 175 seats still available, there's work to do!
With thanks
Ann on behalf of the Committee (with quite a heavy leaning on Publicity!!)
BSO Information:
Saturday 28th Feb: CONCERT VENUE CHANGE - Bedford School
We are delighted to be able to tell you that we have secured Bedford School’s Great Hall for our concert.
This allows us to have a normal sized audience of 400, a warm and large space with good lighting and slightly easier parking for orchestral members with large instruments.
However, our Season info on the Season Cards has the wrong venue - please inform any of your friends/family who have already bought tickets of the change.
Over the next few days, we will be updating info wherever we can. I have already sent an email to all those who have bought tickets to inform them. However, we can’t assume they will open that email!
Tickets are starting to sell, so please start to get your 10 tickets sold.
With a fabulous soloist playing the gorgeous Sibelius Violin Concerto, it's going to be a great evening.

Rehearsals:

Message from Bjorn: SIbelius: Brahms 1 and 2: Overture.
TROMBONES OFF - Pub week!
BOS Concert Stewards: We still need to recruit two more stewards for our concert on 28th February. In return for a free ticket to the concert, the role simply involves greeting audience members as they arrive and directing them towards the seats. Once the concert starts you would take your seat in the audience. In the (unlikely) event of an emergency you’d direct people towards the exits.
Please have a think and if you happen to know someone who’d enjoy being involved and could spare a little time on the evening, we’d be very grateful. It really makes a big difference to have a friendly face helping things run smoothly. If you think you might know someone who might be interested in joining the team of stewards, please contact Karen at [email protected], or [email protected] or speak to Karen or Jo at a rehearsal.
Thank you so much.
