Hello my dear TOBeloved,
Merry Christmas to you and your family !
I hope this message finds you warm, peaceful and contented in celebrating the holidays with your loved ones.
Of course, what is Christmas without a gift?
Can you still remember what is the most special gift you have received during Christmas?
My most special present that I received during Christmas is not just one gift per se but a person which is my godfather.
He sent me gifts consistently year after year since I was a little girl until now that I am in my adult years.
Even if they’re not the most expensive gifts I have received, I look forward to his gifts yearly. From receiving dolls when I was younger to receiving more mature gifts now that I am older, he was always updated in my life even if we changed home addresses twice.
Truly, his gift to me in my life was his presence more than the presents he gave me all these years.
This Christmas, may we discover Christ’s presence and share this light to others.
How can we be more present this Christmas for our loved ones?
Much more than giving and exchanging material gifts, the Theology of the Body teaches us that we are a gift.
In our male and female bodies, we discover the call to be a gift, the call to remain in the image the Blessed Trinity.
The call to be like Jesus, the call to love like God loves, and to surrender our bodies like Christ. It’s the call to holiness. It is only as a gift that we fulfill the meaning of our existence.
This Christmas, we are all called to be gifts to each other especially for the victims of Typhoon Odette.
Let us do our part in raising funds, giving our share of donations, prayers and support to our fellowmen in dire need of help.
Let’s make Christmas more meaningful by not just unwrapping Christmas presents but also unwrapping our hearts and sharing the LOVE to everyone.
Truly, HOPE arrives in Christmas time wrapped in swaddling clothes. Alleluia!
Have a happy happy Christmas to you and your family!
Very truly yours,
Anne Cabrieto
