I am so looking forward to a weekend full of soccer! Having to skip last year really messed with my internal clock, and it felt like summer never began. No doubt about it this year.
This year brings a few changes to the game that you should be aware of:
- All of our referees are certified (or were certified, currently inactive, but I'm personally vetting them)
- The games will consist of two 15-minute halves. Draws (ties) are OK on Saturday. Any draws on Sunday will be decided with a three-minute overtime, then penalty kicks.
- Each team will play twice on Saturday. Based on your seeding, you will play at least once on Sunday. The brackets/standings will be live updating on the Bracket Team app (you'll be able to find GoalFest in the app once I publish the schedule on Wednesday).

Which brings me to my last point: schedules will be posted on Wednesday. I am actively recruiting teams (and so should you!) to join us this weekend.
We could really use Boys teams in the 2007-2011 range and Girls teams in the 2009-2011 range.
