Good evening players & fans,
I am extremely pleased with the weather forecast for this weekend. Looks like a low of 100s of goals and a chance of grass stains.
A few reminders I'd like to note:
- The live schedules are here. The scores, standings, and brackets for Sunday will be updated on this website. Download the Bracket Team app or bookmark the link! [also can find the link on the goalfest.us homepage]
- The full rules are here. The important ones I'd like to note: 1) 15-minute halves; 2) cannot score from your defensive half; 3) cannot touch the ball inside the 6ft by 6ft box in front of each goal - automatic goal for attacking team or goal kick for defending team; and 4) no throw-ins, kick-in from the touchline and yes there are corner kicks.
- A handful of teams are playing against kids 3 and 4 years older than they are. Remember: this is about FUN. Score differential only matters up to 10 goals per game. Have your teams work on their passing, dribbling, weak foot, etc. if you find yourself well ahead of the competition.
- I don't tolerate any harassment of referees or volunteers. They are going to make calls that you won't agree with. Persistent issues should be addressed CALMLY with referees or me.
- Your team should each sign the online waiver prior to your first game:
There will be concessions staffed by Skyview Girls Soccer parents. Please support them by purchasing snacks, beverages, and even taco-in-a-bag for lunch!
Thank you all for attending!
