How More Movement Can Make Paramedics More Resilient

Last week I wrote that taking more “Opportunities to Move” is the most important fitness choice paramedics can take to increase their sense of well-being.


I referenced some research that found that by limiting their steps to less than 5000 per day, in less than one week subjects were experiencing more anxiety and depression, and decreased life satisfaction.


It’s always interesting to see these kind of correlations. But as I thought more about the research I wondered…


Was it really the lack of movement that caused these outcomes?
