Happy March!!
The weather is trying to warm up, but I bet you us Michiganders still have another snow ahead of us before we say good-bye to it for good, which I wouldn't mind (do I need to hide, admitting that? lol) but only because the one good snow we had our family was sick, now making for three winters since we purchased our sleds that we haven't been able to try them out. But the sunshine truly does feel amazing, so I'm good with that too!
Another fun update in my life: my husband and I will be celebrating our twenty-fifth wedding anniversary this year! We are trying to plan a trip to celebrate. If any of you have had wonderful vacation experiences (thinking relaxing beach resort type escapes) I'd love to hear them.
Right Before Their Eyes just celebrated it's one-month birthday! I truly am so touched by how many people have read the story already and the lovely reviews they are leaving. If you haven't had a chance to check out the sequel to Emma's Hero, see the link below (look at that cover, I just love it!)
Looking for your next free read? Check out this book and see if it might be just what you're looking for.
Jolie Hogan likes coffee black, panties lacy, and tequila neat. She’s a cop, turned journalist, turned private investigator. People say she’s ballsy. Truth is, her courage is a recklessness that stems from her troubled past.
Jolie is currently in a mess of trouble. She’s been set up for murder by a powerful criminal attorney. The murder victims are the attorney’s wife and Jolie’s husband, Lucas. Jolie will do whatever it takes to clear her name. Including selling her soul to the devil. In Jolie’s case, the devil is a wickedly hot detective who brings the past back to haunt her.
*The author has committed that this is a clean novel free of content and language.
What I'm reading.
You guys, both these books were SO good. Katherine Center's How to Walk Away held me from the first sentence to the last page. I was so entralled with this character and her journey, I literally almost re-read the book right after finishing it. *for anyone sensitive to language, this book does have some.
Heidi Chiavaroli never disappoints and The Edge of Mercy was no exception. What a beautiful story of love, forgiveness and the depth of the covenant of marriage. There were hard themes and beautiful lessons in this book and it was so, so good.
