However This Season Finds You

Dec 24, 2025 11:01 pm

Dear ,

It’s Christmas Eve.

Some people are gathered with loved ones.

Some are navigating complicated rooms.

Some are alone.

Some are holding joy and grief simultaneously.

However, this season finds you, I invite you to pause for a moment.

Take a breath.

Feel your body where you are.

Let yourself arrive fully in this moment.

What does this season actually mean to you, not what it’s supposed to mean, not what you’ve been told to feel, but what is true for you right now?

As this year closes and a new one quietly approaches, I’ve been reflecting on what it means to be in-between. December lives in that liminal space, the place where the ending and the beginning meet. It asks us to slow down, to remember, to savor what mattered, and to let ourselves rest before we reach for what’s next.

These are five books that have been anchoring me as I look toward 2026:

  • Rest Is Resistance by Tricia Hersey. A powerful reminder that rest is not laziness, but liberation.
  • The Alchemist by Paulo Coelho. A return to listening to the quiet wisdom that already lives within us.
  • The Five People You Meet in Heaven by Mitch Albom. A gentle meditation on meaning, connection, and the unseen ways we matter.
  • Tuesdays with Morrie by Mitch Albom. An invitation to slow down and remember what truly lasts.
  • We Should All Be Millionaires by Rachel Rodgers. A necessary conversation about wealth, power, and choice, especially for women.

As we move through this season, remember presence is one of the greatest gifts we can give.

If you’re able, put your phone down for a moment.

Look into someone’s eyes.

Hold a hand.

Allow yourself to be here.

Human presence and connection are still sacred.

And if you’re looking for a quieter way to come home to yourself during this season, the Coming Home to Yourself 30-Day Digital Journal is now available. You can use the code LAUNCH to receive $10 off, and it also makes a thoughtful gift for someone who could use more gentleness and grounding in the year ahead.

Wishing you a holiday that meets you exactly where you are.

With care,

Dr. Alice
