The secret message on the spines of these books

Two years ago, my cover designer for the Clandestine Magic trilogy suggested we put a coded message on the spines of the paperbacks. Something relevant to the story arc that would be readable if you lined the books up.

I thought it was a great idea.

And then I promptly forgot to, you know, tell anyone about it.

As I'm belatedly correcting that, I wanted to give you all a chance to play along with this game. Most readers grab ebook versions of my tales, so I know the odds are that you don't have the paperbacks on hand to line up.

And the hardcore fans among you with hardbacks? I'm so sorry, but we couldn't make the spine-code work in that format. Here, though, is what it looks like:

Can you translate the message? You don't need to have read the books to figure it out, though you'll have a leg up if you did.

Hit reply to tell me your best guess (or to finagle clues). Shoutouts next month to any correct guessers.

(P.S. If you're squinting at the spines, wondering where to look, exactly: right by the "C" in my name.)

More cool & bookish things

I knew author Nicolette Andrews was working on a super-secret dragon-related project, and for months I've been eagerly awaiting details.

Now the secret's out: Dragon's Deception, with a fake courtship between a dragon shifter and a vigilante princess.

Even cooler, it's on Kickstarter with exclusive goodies. (The dragon pin looks pretty darn cool.)
