If February isn't your favorite month, there's this consolation: Fantasy romance authors are putting on a celebration of all things FaRo, with games, prizes and other fun.
It's like Mardi Gras! Except with bookish stuff thrown around instead of beads.
Highlighting just a few things:
- Join the Reading Rec Race in the FaRoFeb Facebook group, which runs all month. Read fantasy romance books, post about them there and vie for a prize.
- Enter giveaways, including mine. (If you win mine, you get one of my ebooks/audiobooks, your pick.) Find other giveaways at the FaRoFeb Instagram account.
- Read micro stories written by tag-teams of authors, from a high-stakes marriage of enemies to a historical fantasy with twists that made me laugh out loud (plus one twist I contributed because every historical fantasy needs ladies conspiring against injustice, amirite?).
Hope it all makes your February brighter. Now here's a question:
What's your fantasy romance origin story?
That is: How did you find your way to this genre?
I've heard both readers and authors talk about their "where has this been all my life" reaction when they first stumbled on it, much like crossing into a fairyland you didn't realize was in the forest down the way.
What about you? Hit reply to tell me ... and enjoy the FaRoFeb celebration.

More cool & bookish things
Speaking of things you may not have heard about: Did you know there's more than one all-you-can-read book subscription service?
Kobo has not only an ebook smorgasbord but also an all-you-can-listen option for audiobooks. It's called Kobo Plus.
Why am I mentioning it now? Because it's YOLO With Kobo day, with collections that make it easy to find the fantasy romance (or other romance) you want. Like all my Clandestine Magic audiobooks. π
(Psst: Look for the 30-day free trial if you haven't subscribed before.)
If you don't want a subscription (trust me, I get it), check out this sale on audiobooks. My Clandestine Magic series starter Subversive is 40 percent off at Kobo for just a little while.
And yep, you can download an app and listen on your phone, easy peasy.
You made it to the end! You're awesome. (Of course.) And oh hey, here are my latest books and here are all my book gifts to you.
