I know most of you who are forum members know I have been having a lot of crazy problems lately, whether they be health related or otherwise. I also know that if you are a member there, and read your forum newsletters and alerts, that you know Paypal is a PITA and I am spinning my heels in circles for months for one reason or another.
First let me say to my affiliates, a few of you may have gotten a message from GUMROAD because I added you to the new shop there by way of the email address you used here or on Payhip.
Those of you who did not receive anything, it is because you are not signed up to GUMROAD with the email address I have.
If you want to continue to be an affiliate, OR if you would like to sign up as one, GUMROAD is a good solution, because they pay you directly, and I don't have to worry about that part. I am not sure about Payhip now, as while they are a platform I can still sell from using Stripe, I do not know how I would pay you all, since I won't be using Paypal for this purpose, after 20 years, I simply do not trust them any longer.
Paypal "says" they will release my funds at some point, but I am going round about with them, because I don't have "suppliers" nor "supplier invoices" and they keep sending the same robot responses. After doing extensive search on the subject, it is quite clear they are randomly targeting artists and other small businesses, and 90% of them have the same problem of "supplier invoices" that don't exist, and the others are simply getting hassled for no good reason, like the lady who sent her mom money for her birthday last month, and PP limited the moms account so she can't even receive her birthday gift.
So they say they will release funds after going over my account, (that's what they have been saying to everyone apparently) but you know what, that would be great because there is 400 plus dollars there, but
ONE, I won't hold my breath and have already done a pivot (or at least am working on it) and
TWO, if I do get my account released, I want nothing more to do with them unless there is no other option, but there are tons of other options, 2 are Stripe and Square, that don't limit your funds, and are far better, and have stellar reputations.
I am sorry I have to close or move on from some markets I have been with for a long time, including my TPT store and my Meylah shops, they use nothing but PayBully lol, but that is life, and I am finding new horizons to sell in, I did not realize existed for me before.
As always I will survive, and in many cases come out better for it on the other side. You can not keep a good Capricorn down! I have used Stripe for a while in my Retro Vintage business, and they are simply great. It feels a lot more professional to run a store like CMA with a real processor, rather than a 3rd party go between, and they have always been highly recommended by Forbes and Business Magazines, as well as have a great rep with the BBB, etc. Guess who does not? ;) They are also far better at fraud prevention, and are more secure by far, so with that said, if you are running a store yourself, check them out. They are definitely the more professional choice.
Anyway, I just wanted to let you all know the status of what is up, while I once again turn around in circles to fix or edit things. This year it has been one merry go round, minus the merry lol, but because I know many of you are also going thru a lot of chaos and plain ol' Sh^te this year as well, I know I am at least among my peers lol.
