Hi,
Over the last couple of months, I've been exploring and questioning the relationship between forms and volumes, color and texture. When I set out to make this series, I had an idea but ended up in a whole other place with these new pieces.
It forced me to change my approach to the process of making and has taught me a lot about the character of these new materials. The new series is called 'Blauwstaal,' which translates to Blue Steel, hot-rolled steel.
I've put some of the series up on my website for you to view, and I'll be posting new works on social media over the next few weeks. I hope you enjoy this 'Blauwstaal' serie.
