New DET Format (Starting July 1, 2025)

Here’s what’s changing:

🗣️ New Speaking Question: Interactive Speaking

You’ll have a real-time conversation with a Duolingo character.

✅ 6–8 speaking questions covering 2 topics

✅ You listen to a question and answer (you can only listen once!)

✅ 35 seconds per answer

✅ Scored on fluency, grammar, vocabulary, and pronunciation

Learn about this question here 👉 https://youtu.be/wLWvWAndw3I

🎧 Updated: Interactive Listening

A new "Listen and Complete" task has been added before the conversation begins! (I'll share more on this as soon as I have more information.)

⛔ Removed Questions

❌ Read Aloud

❌ Listen Then Speak

These will no longer be on the DET from July 1st onwards.

If you need help adjusting to the new format, I’ll be covering everything in DET Ready VIP — with strategies, templates, live feedback, and real-time practice.

Let’s get you ready for the test!
