The Duolingo English Test just officially announced its 2024 update with three new question types being added to the test on April 2nd.
Here they are 👇
New Question 1: Read and Select
New Question 2: Fill in the Blanks
New Question 3: Interactive Writing
If you are planning to take the DET after April 2nd 2024, it is crucial you know what question types are on the test.
👇 This is what the DET in 2024 looks like:
- Read and Select (New) 1 set of 15-18 words
- Fill in the Blanks (New) 1 set 6-9 sentences
- Read and Complete - 3-6 times on the test
- Read Aloud - 3-6 times
- Listen and Type - 4-9 times
- Interactive Listening / Summary - 2 times
- Interactive Reading - 2 times
- Write About the Photo - 3 times
- Speak About the Photo - 1 time
- Interactive Writing (new) - 1 time
- Read, Then Speak - 1 time
- Listen, Then Speak - 2 times
- Speaking Sample - 1 time
- Writing Sample - 1 time
