Spring hit my area of the world hard these last few weeks. We've gotten sunshine encouraging blooms all around the neighborhood (and the pollen to go with it). There are also boughts of heavy rain to keep up the cycle of greenery.
Spring doesn't only mean flowers, but better bird watching as the winter wanderers come back into town. They love stopping on the branches in our yard. I caught this beautiful hummingbird at rest.
They normally don't sit still for very long, so I was happy to snap this photo.
Not all birds are of the tiny variety. There’s an elderly gentleman who has volunteered at my children’s school for decades. He greets the kids in the morning during drop off. He normally wears a funny hat, but when I saw him the other day, I nearly fell over laughing.
I think I spotted my very first eagle shifter in the wild.
It's not all bird watching and flower smelling around here. Only 9 days until Curse of the Fae Library comes out as an ebook, paperback, hardback, and in Kindle Unlimited! As a special treat, I whipped together the first few chapters that you can read for free, right now, if you can't wait that long to get started.
