Thanks to everyone who made Mom Seals Her Fate my biggest book launch yet! I had a record number of preorders and received so many wonderful comments from readers who enjoyed Melissa's magical 6-book adventure.
Speaking of which, observant readers might have noticed the similarities between the first and last book covers of Magical Midlife Mom. I wanted the last book to callback to the original double-hearted necklace, which symbolizes Melissa's relationship with her teenage daughter Regan. Regan's heart, now an adult herself, no longer rests safely inside Melissa's heart, yet they're still locked together, side by side, as Melissa deals with her magical fate. The purple color scheme is also slightly darker, signifying change.
Since my oldest daughter started high school this week, I feel a deep connection to Melissa's journey with Regan. Kids grow up so fast that many things change before parents want them to. But a mother's love adapts to every new stage of life, becoming richer and deeper, even if it's often bittersweet.
