Halloween is just around the corner, and we've got everything just about ready. My youngest daughter bought a clownfish jacket so she can look like Nemo, her favorite Pixar character. My oldest daughter is going as a therizinosaurus, a long-clawed dinosaur featured in the latest Jurassic Park movie. My husband's got his Iron Man outfit ready to go, and I'm going as Maleficent this year.
Just as important as the costumes are the decorations. We don't have a lot, but what we lack in quantity, we make up in quality. Ten years I got this discount blow-up decoration off a bargain website, and it surprisingly still works to this day. Kids love our Pac-Man pumpkin hybrid display!
In case the neighbors didn't already realize we're a bunch of nerds.
In the spirit of the season, I wrote a new free short story on my blog about Melissa from Magical Midlife Mom and her Halloween decorations. She has modest fair, but it keeps getting stolen, leading to a fae mystery.
Halloween Thieves is available for free on my website.
Are you excited for Halloween? Got any fun plans or read any spooky stories? I'd love to hear about it: [email protected].
