Quick story:
A little over six months ago, we hired a senior tech lead to help improve the app and manage the team. After two interviews, he seemed like a great fit. But during his second week, I got hints he was still interviewing for other jobs. We sat down, and he assured me he wanted to work with us, liked the mission, and was committed.
About a week later, a recruiter confirmed he had told her he was "completely available"—even while working full-time for us. That was a tough pill to swallow.
Zooming out, it’s a lesson in human nature: some people just never feel like they have enough. It reminds me of when I started lifting weights. I was always chasing the next big thing—the secret technique that would skyrocket my progress. But over the years (almost 25 lifting now), I’ve learned that sticking to the basics and doing them really well gets you about as far as you're gonna get.
For me, good basics include progressive overload, periodization, and other techniques that have become second nature. We’ve automated a lot of that with Dr. Muscle. And this bad hire? It was one of the catalysts that pushed us to start building the new Dr. Muscle X with a "team" of AIs instead of humans.
It’s available now. If you want to try it, you can log in with your usual credentials here:

As a serious lifter and early adopter, I'd love to get your feedback.
And if you’re curious about the experience of building the app with AI—or what it could mean for the workforce—check out:

You'll probably see more announcements about the new app in the coming weeks. But I wanted to let you know first since you're on this special list and you've been such a great supporter.
Thanks for your support, and happy New Year.
