Phones at the gym

Quick thought:

I'm at the gym right now between two sets of leg press. I went to bed kind of late and I'm not feeling it today, but I'm still working out.

In situations like that, I will often find myself checking stuff out on my phone. At the moment, for example, I'm listening to an audiobook on investing.

I've noticed more and more people are using their phones at the gym in recent years. Do you? Is it keeping you from doing your best? Being "in the moment"?

I'm a little biased, of course, because my own workout app, Dr. Muscle, is a phone app. So, in a way, I have to use my phone every time I work out. Maybe it's a limitation we have to live with.

If this is something you're struggling with, I have good news. We'll have an Apple Watch app and an official announcement very soon.

Let me know if you'd rather use that instead of a phone. I'll read and reply to all emails while I still can (only beta testers like yourself are getting this).

Talk soon,
