Dear Wonderful Woman,
How are you doing?
I'm well.
How successful do you feel in your career at the moment?
Is it giving you want in terms:
- Making an impact or difference
- Earning the salary you desire
- The hours that you're doing
- Opportunities for career progression
- Work-life balance
- Working design: Office, working from home, working pattern and flexibility
- A healthy work culture
- Diversity, Equity and Inclusion
- Access to learning and development
- Paid time off and Holidays
- Contributing to solving wider social issues
- Valuing your opinion and your voice
- Alignment with your values
The secret to career success is knowing what you want and taking intentional action to achieve it.
Career success is personal and uniquely aligned with your values and what you personally want to achieve in your career.
You need to be the driver of your career, to be clear about what you want.
To build belief and confidence in yourself, that your version of career success is possible and achievable.
Sometimes we can get in our way when it comes to going for our biggest career dreams.
We can believe stories that don't serve us about:
- What past bosses have said about our potential
- We let less ambitious people sabotage going for what we want in our career because of their narrow and closed view of what is possible
- Making past failures be a limitation and not an opportunity to do things differently
- A lack of confidence in ourselves and our ability to overcome challenges on our journey to what we want in our career
One of the things that will support you building the career success that you desire is getting a fresh perspective. It will help you to gain new ideas, to get unstuck and to take inspired action.
