It Felt Weird and Pointless The First Day I Posted on LinkedIn (only 335 words)

If you want to make anything happen on Linkedin, there are three things you must do/have.

By now, you already have a good-to-go LinkedIn profile.

So I won't be dwelling on that. (though once in a while I will).

If you haven't, here's my free guide to help you do it right now.

In this email, I'd focus on number 3.

Posting on LinkedIn is like taking off your clothes in the middle of the road.

Or shouting in a hushed auditorium.

You've probably (I hope) never done any of those things because you know it'll make you the centre of criticism and a thousand strange eyeballs.

Perhaps that's why you haven't also posted on LinkedIn for the past years and months.

But the truth is if you want to get anything out of LinkedIn, it is on the other side of posting consistently.

Don't let the word "consistently" scare you.

All it requires is your first post.

And I want you to do it now.

After reading this email, please open your Linkedin (on your mobile or desktop) and drop that post idea that you've been carrying in your head.

I can bet my first Android phone that you have at least one idea you can post about.

Just post it.

And send me the link to the post so I can engage and give it some juice.
