, Some days, running a business can feel like punishment.
You put in the work.
You post contents.
You advertise on social media platforms.
You call customers.
You try new strategies.
You even reduce your prices.
Then on a faithful day, you wake up hoping today will finally be different.
And then you check your sales.
Nothing. No sale. No profit.
Or maybe you even made some sales, but after paying for stock, transport, staff, electricity, rent, and everything else, there is barely anything left.
I know how frustrating this can be.
Especially when you look around and it seems like everybody else is making money.
But please remember this:
A difficult season in your business does not mean you are a bad business owner.
It only means that you need to focus on learning more. How to carry out better operations, craft better offers and market your products/services like a pro.
Sometimes, the problem isn't that you aren't working hard enough.
It is that you simply haven't found the right combination of offer, customers, pricing, marketing, sales and systems yet.
And that's something you can fix.
Don't make a permanent decision about your business because of a temporary difficult season.
Take a step back.
Look at your numbers.
Look at what you're selling.
Look at who you're selling to.
Look at where your customers are coming from.
Look at what your most profitable customers actually buy.
Then start fixing your business one problem at a time.
You don't need everything to change tomorrow.
You just need to find the next thing that can move the business forward.
Keep going. But don't just keep doing the same thing.
Keep building.
I am rooting for you.
With love,
Fortune.
