Spooky Stories & S'mores - October 15 @ 6 p.m. - FREE

Location: FTHS Meeting House, 6510 S. Franklin Road

Join us for a seasonal storytelling session! We’ll begin with an educational walk through the Big Run Cemetery. Learn the significance of the symbols on the tombstones and hear about the mourning and burial traditions of centuries past. Then we'll sit around the fire, toast marshmallows, and listen to some spooky stories of suspected ghosts and strange happenings in the local area—including the true tale of our famous Black Dress!

This event is child-friendly, and costumes are welcome! Bring your own lawn chair or blanket for seating. S’more ingredients and roasting sticks will be provided.

If you are able to walk across the grass, please park at the south end of the Creek’s parking lot next door, as part of the Meeting House lot will be used for the fire circle. Please reserve the limited Meeting House parking for those with mobility concerns.

Harvest Dinner - November 1 @ 12 p.m. - $25 (includes meal)

Location: Grace Church, 5605 S. Franklin Road

Join us for our annual Harvest Dinner, which includes a catered meal, history presentation, musical entertainment, silent auction, door prizes, and more!

This year’s catered meal includes a turkey entrée plus two vegetables, salad, dinner rolls, dessert, and beverages. We will again enjoy a concert by Franklin Central High School’s Chamber Choir and piano music by Jim Kemp. We'll also give an update on our new building and announce some exciting new community development news! Our guest presenter this year is Jeff Gatewood, who will speak about the history and legacy of Daniel Boone. And as always, get a jump on your holiday shopping by bidding on gift baskets and local specialties in the Silent Auction!

Seating is limited, and advance ticket purchase is required. Ticket orders MUST BE RECEIVED BY OCTOBER 25.

Tickets for this event can be purchased via credit card, PayPal or Venmo HERE.

If you wish to register by mail, you can send a check for $25 per attendee to FTHS, P.O. Box 39015, Indianapolis, IN 46239. Please include the name of each person for whom you are purchasing a ticket.
