That color looks terrible on you

Hi ,

You saw it on someone else and loved it.

Bought the exact same thing. Same shade. Maybe even the same brand.

Put it on and it looked nothing like it did on her.

Duller. Heavier. Like it was draining you instead of lifting you.

So you blamed the lighting in the shop. Or the way you were feeling that day. Or the fact that she's taller, slimmer, younger.

None of that is why.

The reason that color worked on her and not on you has nothing to do with her body and everything to do with her coloring. Her undertone. The depth and contrast of her natural features.

Color doesn't exist in a vacuum. It reacts to the person wearing it.

On the right person, a color comes alive. On the wrong person, the same color disappears or worse, it competes.

You haven't found your colors yet. That's all.

Reply "COLOR" if you've experienced this and never understood why.

To your best image.
