Why I write

(even when I have nothing to say)

Bonjour mon ami,

Has the following ever happened to you?

You sit down to write…

But absolutely nothing comes.

You think to yourself:

“Gee...I guess I have nothing to say...”

So, what do you do?

Nada.

Rien.

Nothing.

But here’s the truth that'll save you a lot of future pain:

Your muse doesn’t show up before you write.

She shows up because you write.

Your job isn’t to wait, mon cherie.

It’s to begin.

Start typing.

Start rambling like an incoherent maniac.

Just start.

Write one sentence. Then another. Et un autre.

Before you know it, you're riding a wave of momentum.

And momentum creates clarity.

Remember mon cœur:

Inspiration comes after action — not before.

So if you feel blocked like a McDonald's toilet today:

Open up a doc of your choice.

Write badly (on purpose).

Then keep going.

That's the whole game.

Et c'est beau.

Talk soon,

Godfrey
