Hey kings and queens,
Happy Monday,
Hope you had a great weekend!
And now we're back to Monday, back to turning dreams into reality!
For some of us, our dream is to make our first book!
To become an author!
After self-publishing 14 books I'll let you in a secret...
Finishing your book is actually the start of the biggest journey, not the end.
Because after you finish your book, you still need to reach your target audience. To speak to people who love your book and want to buy it, become fans and even superfans.
So how do you do this? Work on your KLT Factor! It's the Know Like and Trust Factor! The more people get to see you as a human, as a real person whose book solves their problem, they will become aware of you and in time decide to buy! This is vital because even if you wrote the best book on earth, if nobody knows, likes or trust you, it's going nowhere.
So how can you shortcut this process? Get on media!
Go to in person conventions, create video content, give free author readings at libraries, go on podcasts and even on radio shows.
Which brings me to this! We've been invited back on Afrofuturism Network's show, Into the Afroverse!
It goes live later today. You can listen at 10:00 AM EST on WOL 1450 AM/95.9 FM and woldcnews.com
