Dear Members of the Hurley Community, and Neighborhood Friends of the Hurley School,
May has arrived. For many of us, TropiCaliente has always been a highlight of the month.
While this year we cannot gather together at Ben Franklin Institute for a night filled with friends, food, and fun, we can still celebrate the Hurley. The spirit of the school is strong. The teachers are engaging our children in distance learning, the administration is working hard to make sure all families have the resources and support they need to survive the pandemic, and the students join together, virtually, as a community.
NPHS is committed to helping in any way we can.
- We are helping buy groceries for Hurley families who need help.
- We are looking forward to implementing a new communications tool, ParentSquare, that will make it easier for administrators, teachers, parents, and students to connect.
- We are helping plan virtual community building events.
- We are looking forward to coming back together in September, and making our school even better.
To accomplish our goals, we need your support.
Please consider a gift to NPHS- proceeds raised at TropiCaliente make up the majority of our annual budget. Even though the event can’t happen, we can still join together to support the Hurley, and its amazing teachers and students.
We are so grateful to those who have agreed to to sponsor our event. Thank you to Amy and Ethan d’Abelmont Burnes, James Anderson of Compass, Melanie Olinto of Compass, Steven Cohen of Keller Williams, and Vince O’Neill. Their commitment is so appreciated. If your family, small business, or company has sponsored TropiCaliente in the past and would consider supporting NPHS now, we would gratefully welcome your outreach in this critical time.
We appreciate your consideration. We know these are difficult times, but all Hurley students deserve a high quality public education, and we are dedicated to ensuring that.
All the best,
