A Fresh, Pilates-filled Start To The New Year

Last night, I bit into a raspberry tart from the fridge only to find that it had turned "stodgy" as my Scottish Mum would say.

Hey ,

Last night, I bit into a raspberry tart from the fridge only to find that it had turned "stodgy" as my Scottish Mum would say. Tossing the mushy, tart-less treat into the trash, I couldn't help but notice the perfect metaphor it presented for the end of the holiday break.

We have fully used up the sweetness of the season. We are sufficiently gifted, fed, connected, and rested - and now it's time to get back to life's rhythm. (which might, btw, include more tarts - just fresher.) And January has some pretty intense beats planned for this gal!

We start with the Pilates Journal Expo from Jan 10 - 11 in Huntington Beach, CA. I'll be part of a Business Panel for Pilates Teachers where I'll be sharing my knowledge and experience owning studios and mentoring others for almost 3 decades.

Then the following weekend, January 17 - 18th, is a big one for Chicago Pilates teachers and enthusiasts: The first ever Pilates Summit at the Chicago History Museum is happening right here in town and includes:

— Mat Pilates Certification

— Workshops

— Workout Classes

— Panels

— Wellness Village

— Networking

I'll be teaching a workshop on behavioral change and how to help our clients move the needle outside of the studio as well as in their sessions to stretch the benefits of Pilates beyond their classes.

Use the code JZ10 for $10 off any ticket. If you're not a teacher you can still attend and take classes all day - it's going to be a great, fun event :).

Finally, I'll be prepping for my big studio move for the rest of the month. The reveal of where I'll land is yet to come but what I can tell you is that I'll be offering in-person, Pilates equipment sessions to the folks of West Walker/Independence Park/Albany Park very soon! This is something I've been working on for well over a year and I'm extremely gratified that I'll be able serve the community in a bespoke way - with the best Pilates y'all have ever experienced, that is. 💅

Speaking of which, Breakfast Clubbers - you've got two new classes up in your portal for hip strength and spinal mobility. For anyone interested in the ultimate Gen X Pilates experience, you can dive in and take any class with us by visiting the link above. We're in the home stretch and have two more to go before I leave my space. 🥹

It's looking like a Pilates-filled January, but I'm still working fully with my health coaching clients. You can learn more about all of my programs below.

I hope your re-entry into the week ahead is strong and I look forward to seeing more of you in person in the weeks to come!

Living Well With You, Not At You,

Coach JZ (Jenna)

PS. Thank you to all who responded to my last message. I am very grateful to have the support of so many and look forward to connecting in the year to come.
