The Messy Truth About Living Well

It's the last day of 2024, and if you're like me, you might be feeling a little... messy.

Hey ,

It's the last day of 2024, and if you're like me, you might be feeling a little... messy. Like maybe you thought you'd be in a different space by now. Or maybe you're facing some unexpected challenges, or those old insecurities are still whispering doubts in your ear.

I'll be honest - I'm writing this email from the messy middle of my own health journey. You know, that place where things aren't quite clear, where doubts and anxieties like to hang out, and where that inner critic (Cheryle) seems to have a megaphone. But it's in these messy, annoying, imperfect moments that I'm reminded of the power of "Living Well, Despite Limits."

You see, "imperfect" doesn't mean "ineffective." In fact, it's often our imperfections that make us better coaches, better listeners, and more compassionate human beings. Years ago, I had the pleasure of watching Robin Roberts speak at the Massachusetts Conference for Women. She encouraged us all to let our messes be our message in our leadership roles.

And that's exactly what I'm doing today. Because let's be honest, who hasn't felt lost or frustrated on their health journey? Ever feel like you're doing all the "right" things - eating healthy, exercising, managing stress - but your body still isn't cooperating? Like you're navigating a maze blindfolded, with no clear path forward?

Believe me, I get it. Beyond knowing all about macros, strength training, and hormone-supporting foods, I also understand the frustration, the setbacks, and the messy reality of trying to live well in a world that doesn't always cooperate.

And it's these personal experiences that offer first-hand knowledge of the emotional toll, the self-doubt, and the resilience it takes to keep showing up for yourself, even when things get tough.

As your coach, my job isn't to tell you my story or offer solutions based solely on my own experiences. Instead, it's to use my knowledge, skills, and yes, even my own messy experiences, to help you navigate your unique path.

That means deeply listening to your challenges, understanding your frustrations, and holding space for your emotions. It means asking powerful questions that help you uncover your own inner wisdom and discover solutions that truly work for you.

My own experiences with health challenges? Those inform my empathy, my understanding, and my ability to meet you where you are. They remind me that there's no one-size-fits-all approach to wellness, and that the most powerful transformations happen when we honor our individual needs and limitations.

So if you're feeling lost, frustrated, or like you're hitting a wall, know that you're not alone. I'm here to walk alongside you, not as someone who has all the answers, but as a guide who will champion your strengths, support your journey, and help you create a vision of wellness that truly aligns with your values and aspirations.
