WHAT I’M WORKING ON...
My first vlog documenting the process of recording my next single called Puerto Rican Blue is live on YouTube, but only for you guys as a thank you for subscribing to this newsletter!
If you ever feel a bit stuck on a project maybe you can relate.

YOU SHOULD HEAR THIS...
"Appuntamento", feat. Ornella Vanoni is one of those enchanting, mood-inducing songs that you just know you've heard somewhere before, but where?
Featured in 2004's Ocean's 12 this recording is a real find, even in our exquisitely catalogued digital world.
It would be a shame not to have this one saved wherever you listen to music, so click the button below to listen. But if you've got a moment to watch this live 1971 performance on YouTube I have to say that's the way to go!

IN CASE YOU MISSED IT...
One or these 9 posts is a cover one of my favorite ballads ever - originally by Chaka Khan and featuring Bruce Hornsby on the piano…
Bonus points if you can guess which video I'm talking about.

Tango: A Must-Watch Youtube Video
I give you Argentinean composer and master of the bandoneon, Astor Piazolla! Someone once asked how you find good music besides whatever is en vogue at the moment.
I suppose you have to go down the rabbit hole.
We used to do that by reading liner notes, books, interviews in magazines, etc. Now you just have to be a quick-draw with your Shazam app.
Maybe that's a good thing, or maybe we traded too much in the way of depth when we let technology take over and quit panning for gold in record stores.
In any case, I found Astor Piazzolla the old way - by tumbling down the rabbit hole - and I'm glad I did.
For the best listening/viewing experience I recommend this live performance on YouTube...
