Teaching from the Deep Core

Dear ,

If you know me, you may have heard me discuss the vision of the Peer Development Program.

Not as an idea.

But as something we had brought to life in the past — slowly, carefully, and in a way that actually serves teachers.

A space where we don’t just learn more.

We refine what’s already there.

A space where teaching becomes clearer, simpler, and more honest.

What I’m sharing with you today… is very much in that same spirit.

This offering comes from Delia, our co-leader YTT facilitator, and owner of Green Room Yoga.

Some of you know her.

Some of you don’t.

Either way, what she’s opening matters.

Because it points to something most teachers feel… but rarely have space to explore.

Not what we teach —

but where we teach from.

Over the past 30+ years, across somatics, dance, contact improvisation, and yoga, she’s been refining an approach that doesn’t add more layers…

It removes what isn’t essential.

And what’s left is something most of us are actually searching for:

• Clarity.
• Coherence.
• Alignment.

Not externally.

Internally.

She’s starting with a one-day intensive:

Teaching from the Deep Core

A Mentorship Intensive for Yoga & Embodiment Teachers

April 26

12:00–5:30 PM

This isn’t a lecture.

It’s not theory-heavy.

It’s experiential.

You’ll explore how the body organizes itself —

and how that directly shapes the way you cue, observe, and guide others.

And if you’re paying attention…

this is where teaching starts to change.

Not because you learned something new.

But because you started seeing what was already there.

This intensive is just the beginning.

The deeper intention is to build an ongoing mentorship space.

Something very similar to what I’ve been envisioning with Peer Development:

A place where teachers come together to:

– talk honestly about teaching

– unpack patterns we’ve inherited

– refine language and cueing

– challenge assumptions

– and support each other in becoming more precise, more grounded, and more ourselves

No performance.

No pressure.

Just real development.

If this resonates, trust that.

And if someone comes to mind immediately…

send this to them.

That instinct is usually right.
