Hey 💙 📚
Happy August!
Where is the time going? It seems it was only yesterday that summer had begun, and here we are — a few days into August! What!
Do you have any summer holiday plans? As I was in California a few months back, I'm staying put in London for the moment, but who knows what the next few weeks will bring!
Writing Update & Help Me Name A Character!
In one of my previous updates, I mentioned that I overhauled one of the characters in The Deathday Chronicles series.
He’s 17, the joker of the gang, and he loves life’s simple pleasures. He has a particular affinity for comfort.
Here's the snippet that you may remember me sharing earlier:
“Thorns? Those were no thorns.” He leaped over the remnants of a mid-sized stone wall, which picked back up along the building’s far side. “They were nature-made daggers!”
'He' is the character in question. His working name is Pete, but I don't like it. I feel like it doesn't do him justice, it just doesn't fit his quirky “I'd-rather-be-on-a-couch” personality...
And that's where you come in.
Do you have any suggestions? Please hit reply to this email and let me know!
And if I end up using the name you suggest, I'll thank you in the Acknowledgements of the next book 😊
Thank you! I can't wait to see what names you come up with!
