College of Nursing, Kolenchery, Ernakulam in association with Lore & Ed Research Associates, Kottayam, Kerala, India organise an 8-day international online workshop on Research Ethics: Principles in Action from 25 September to 06 October 2022.
The inaugural meeting shall be conducted on 25 September 2022. Prof. Dr. Sabu Thomas, Vice-Chancellor, Mahatma Gandhi University, Kottayam will inaugurate the workshop and deliver the keynote address.
Dr. Elisabeth Bik, renowned Microbiome and Science Integrity Consultant, will present the topic The Dark Side of Science: Misconduct in Biomedical Research. In her talk, she will present her work and show several types of inappropriately duplicated images and other examples of research misconduct. In addition, she will show how to report scientific papers of concern, and how journals and institutions handle such allegations.
Dr. Johnson Jament's presentations cover areas in social science research including research planning and execution, the control and oversight of the research process, consideration for participants and the public good, and responsible stewardship of research materials and findings.
Dr. Ramankutty V. will present on Falsification, Manipulation or Tempering of Data. Dr. Brijesh Sathian's presentation cover the ethical issues in conducting clinical trials involving investigational new drugs, devices, and biologics. Finally, Dr. Gopakumar V.'s session covers plagiarism and academic integrity.
