Tip #2 - Ease into the bigger conversation.

Don’t open up small talk with “Hey dad, can we look at your will today?”

That can be overwhelming.

Instead, pick one topic like the power of attorney paperwork and see if dad has considered his options and what it means for the family.

By breaking the conversation down over a few weeks or months it gives everyone time to process the information and make decisions that are in alignment.
