Utility Assistance Program + Transitional Housing Option
Baker Ripley Utility Assistance Program
The next two weeks Baker Ripley is offering a utility assistance program to help you or clients who are struggling to pay utility bills.
The events will take place at the Acres Homes Multi-Service Center on two upcoming dates from 9 am to 12 pm. Those dates are:
- Tuesday July 13th
- Thursday July 22nd
If you live in Brazoria, Galveston, or Harris County, and have a need for financial help, then this utility assistance enrollment event is potentially open to you.

With most utility or rent assistance programs assistance is provided on a first come, first serve basis so anyone who is considering attending this even is encouraged to contact Baker Ripley for more details and also arrive early.
Good Samaritan Homes
In addition, here is a resource for clients who are seeking transitional housing in Houston
Last week I received an email from a nice guy named Gabriel who told me about the care homes he managed and the population they work with.
Good Samaritan Homes is a network of transitional/care homes that offers affordable housing to vulnerable populations like:
- Seniors
- Recently incarcerated
- Veterans
- Individuals with disabilities
- And other special needs populations in the greater Houston area
If you have client's in these demographics, consider giving them a call to see what options are available.

Houston Healthcare Job Board
Lots of new jobs have been added to the job board including:
- A Clinical Director position starting at $78K
- Multiple case manager and social worker positions at area hospitals and FQHCs
- Media Relations posting for a local hospital
- Even a Community Health Worker position for anyone trying to start their healthcare career.
