Texas Is Reopening + Hospital Guides

This week's reopenings in Texas remind me of some of the decision making of former Houston Texans coach Bill O'Brien.

Loss after loss, reporters would ask him obvious questions like:

• Why didn't you allow Deshun Watson to take over?
• Deandre Hopkins is the best receiver in the league, should he have gotten more touches?

Many times O'Brien would respond by saying "we've got to establish the run".

Instead of doing the things that obviously worked, O'Brien wanted to force something simply for the sake of establishing an identity.

Governor Abbott's decision to do away with masks seems like a similarly forced (and wrong ) decision for the sake of establishing that we are Texas and we just do things different.

Listen, I want this decision to lift the mask mandate to be right.

I want Abbott to be right, but in the words of Aubrey Graham "I got high hopes for you, but we gone see".

Stores That Still Require Masks

Despite the Governor lifting the mask mandate, stores still have the right to require masks in their stores. Here is a short list of those businesses.

• ALDI
• HEB
• Kroger
• Target
• Walmart
• Whole Foods
• Costco
• Starbucks
• Lowe's
• Home Depot
• CVS
• Walgreens
• Best Buy
• All federal buildings, airports, etc
• Randalls - Masks are encouraged, but not mandated.
