You aren't the background voice of your life

You aren't the background voice of your life

Hey, ,

There's a voice in your head that is adding running commentary to your life.

"You should go grab some chocolate milk."

"It's noon. You probably should get lunch, because you won't have time later."

Sometimes it even sounds like you: "I should leave now so that I don't hit traffic."

But that's not you. It's not your voice. It's certainly not your identity.

It's the voice of other people in your life, from childhood until the present. It's their voices telling you what's important to them.

This gets tricky because it's coming from your head, and it sounds like you.

It's not.

That means you should question it. Doubt it. Push back.

And instead, listen to the real you. What do you want?

Answer that, ignoring the other voices, and your life will instantly start moving in towards your goals and dreams.

Trust you.

You've got this!

Ken
