She is also the author of several influential books on sex and pornography addiction and regularly teaches, speaks, and trains professionals in this complex area of clinical practice.

Behind the Screens: Understanding Compulsive Sexual Behaviour and its Relational Impact 15–16 June 2026

Compulsive sexual behaviour, often described as sex or porn addiction, can carry a quiet intensity into the therapy room. It is rarely only about the behaviour itself. It reaches into attachment histories, trauma patterns, shame, secrecy, and the relational field between partners. Many therapists feel the weight of this work and the uncertainty of how best to respond, ethically, relationally, and with sufficient clinical depth.

This two-day training offers a grounded, compassionate framework for working with compulsive sexual behaviour through a trauma-informed and relational lens. You will develop confidence in recognising and assessing CSBD, understanding its impact on partners and relationships, and supporting pathways towards repair and healing. The workshop weaves theory with clinical application, helping you navigate complexity with clarity, steadiness, and care, whether you are working with individuals, couples, or both.

JULIET'S MUSINGS

33. Goals That Gently Pull You Forward

The turn of a year always invites a particular kind of tenderness. Not the loud optimism of resolutions shouted into January air, but a quieter listening. A pause. A hand resting on the doorframe before we step through.

In my work, I notice how the New Year stirs longing around relationship. New hopes. New promises. And often, old habits dressed in fresh clothes.
