Hey .
William Cowper once wrote, "Satan trembles when he sees the weakest saint upon his knees."
James 5:16 says, "The earnest prayer of a righteous person has great power and produces wonderful results."
Prayer is powerful! We all know that. Yet, somehow, it gets treated like an optional exercise in our faith. Like homework or a gym membership we don't use, it lays there neglected.
I think the reason that is, is that we just don't know how to pray, what to pray, when to pray, or what to say. So, we take a try or two and then let the practice languish as life crowds it out of our routine.
That's why we're launching a new series on Sunday called, "Powering Up Your Prayer Life" where we're going to be spending four weeks talking about ways to breathe life into our prayers.
I really want to encourage you to be in prayer this week as we lead up to the series. It may feel strange, but the best way to learn to pray is to just pray. Even if it feels uncomfortable, boring, or strange. Just pray.
It is the key to seeing God's power at work in your life!
See you Sunday.
