Urgent Call to Action - Help Protect Your Pharmacy & Share the SB 966 Action Center with Your Patients

Dear Valued California Pharmacy Professional,

As pharmacy professionals, you understand the increasing challenges in providing the best care to patients. One of the most significant obstacles comes from Pharmacy Benefit Managers (PBMs), who wield substantial influence over the medications dispensed and the financial sustainability of pharmacies.

PBMs act as intermediaries between insurers, pharmacies, and drug manufacturers. They determine which drugs are covered, how much patients pay, and even which pharmacies can dispense medications. Unfortunately, their practices are making it harder for community pharmacies to survive. From under-reimbursing pharmacies to “clawing back” funds without explanation, PBMs are pushing many community pharmacies to the brink.

But there is hope. Senate Bill 966 (SB 966) is currently under consideration in the legislature. This bill seeks to hold PBMs accountable and put an end to these unfair practices that threaten our ability to serve our communities.

We need your help to make a difference. Please share our SB 966 Action Center with your patients, encouraging them to reach out to their Assemblymembers and urge support for SB 966. Click on the green button below to view the Action Center. Together, we can protect our profession and ensure continued access to care for all Californians.

SB 966 Action Center to Share with Your Patients
