Are you interested in getting involved in OCPhA? Do you know someone who needs a little encouragement to get more involved with OCPhA?


We are currently soliciting nominations for our OCPhA executive and board member positions. If you are looking for an opportunity to get involved or know someone who would like to get more involved, then please submit your nominations via the link below by January 11th, 2024.

Voting will be open starting January 19th until February 14th, 2024 at 11:59pm. For your nomination email, please include the nominee’s name, email address, and position you are nominating them for.


Board Member Positions for Nominations

President-Elect (1 position available)

The President-Elect shall assist the President as required and shall act in the absence of the President and the Immediate Past-President and shall succeed to the office of President in the event of removal, resignation or other incapacity of the President and/or the Immediate Past-President. The President-Elect, upon completion of the one-year term, shall succeed to the office of President for a one (1) year term and shall serve from March 1 to last day of February of the following year.


Recording Secretary (1 position available)

The Recording Secretary shall maintain the minutes of board meetings, including taking all notes per each section of the meeting agenda, and track and share minutes to both board and membership. The expectation is a minimum of 60% attendance (live, computer, or phone) at all Board/general meetings. The Recording Secretary shall be elected for a one (1) year term to run from March 1 to the last day of February two years hence. This position can be held by a pharmacy intern member. 


Secretary (1 position available) 

The Secretary to maintain all non-financial files and records of the Association. The expectation is a minimum of 60% attendance (live, computer, or phone) at all Board/general meetings. The Secretary shall be elected for a one (1) year term to run from March 1 to the last day of February two years hence. 


Board Member (7 positions available)

The Board of Directors shall exercise the legislative and policy making powers on behalf of the membership when the Association is not in a business session. The Board shall have final authority regarding the disciplining of members and shall maintain active liaison with the California Pharmacists Association. Each Board Member shall be elected for a two (2) year term to run from March 1 to the last day of February two years hence. The expectation is a minimum of 60% attendance (live, computer, or phone) at all Board/general meetings. One of these positions can be held by a pharmacy intern member.
