Make a Difference in Senior Mental Health Education
OCPhA, in collaboration with UCI ASP, is hosting a free educational session on mental health awareness and care for older adults at the Westminster Senior Center on Monday, April 27, 2026, from 10:00 to 11:00 AM.
We are seeking preceptors and pharmacy student volunteers to assist with this meaningful session focused on improving mental well-being among seniors. Topics will include:
- Recognizing signs of mental health concerns
- Understanding and addressing common challenges
- Strategies to support emotional and cognitive well-being
- Connecting seniors with local resources
This is a great opportunity to promote awareness, encourage early recognition, and empower older adults to maintain their overall well-being, while giving back to the community.
We are looking for pharmacists to help precept our student volunteers.
Deadline to volunteer is Friday, April 3rd, 2026!
