Reclaiming Herd Mentality 🦬 πŸ’š πŸ„β€πŸŸ«

Because "rugged individualism" is a capitalist construct, not a human reality

Hi, ,

As we race headlong into the end of the year, the turn of the seasons, and the return of the sun, I've been doing what a lot of us have to do in December: administration.

I've been setting up the new business, banking, systems, etc., but I've also been managing transitions as my life grows roots here in Minnesota. Today I got new plates for my car, but absolutely refused to give up my California drivers license.

One thing I did willingly give up today is my B Corp certification. I don't know when it will be officially removed from the system, but I decided not to pay the renewal fee. Open Lines, like the northern hemisphere, is in its composting phase.

Thanks to The Next Economy MBA, I've come to understand things like B Corp Certification as essential tools of hospice care. They are an important bridge, connecting the conventional, extractive, capitalist economic system we're in to its graceful and inevitable end.

I'm grateful for the death doulas working to make capitalism suck less for as long as it exists. At the same time, I've come to understand that I'm a midwife for what comes next. Fixing today doesn't interest me nearly as much as laying the groundwork for tomorrow.

That's a lot of what is behind Buffalo Collective. I'm convinced that to survive what's coming, we have to start looking backwards. Our Herds are designed to re-create the connection and collaboration that allowed humans to thrive for millennia.

Go read my whole essay about Herd Mentality over on Buffalo Collective.

If you want the details on the Herds, they're here, and GREAT NEWS!

We have lots more details about the upcoming Healing Retreat, AND you can make a deposit to your spot!

Not sure if the Herds are for you? Want to understand why we'd be offering a psychedelic healing retreat anyway? Schedule a short meeting with me, and I'll be thrilled to field your questions.

Herds are stronger, smarter, and braver because they run together. Sounds good, right?

P.S. I am starting to seek out values-aligned angel investors to give Buffalo Collective the strength and stamina to grow and thrive. If you or someone you know might be interested, don't hesitate to get in touch!
